The details are all 100% yours!  No molds are used in the creation of any piece.  Each statue is hand-created at the time of your order.

The construction is entirely polymer clay, which is a nontoxic, manmade material that remains pliable for long periods but bakes or "cures" to hardness at fairly low temperatures.  Even though it is non toxic, the artist does not recommend placing your statue/cake topper in direct contact with cake frosting. Polymer clay is mildly porous and as such it is never really possible to 100% clean it. To be safe, and to keep your statue in good condition, please put a barrier between the statue and the frosting (a doily, or a plastic platform will work well, speak to your cake baker for additional ideas).

Polymer Clay is very durable, however, as with any art piece, care should be taken when handling. Never clean your ornament with kitchen cleaners, a light dusting is all that they should need.
